Wolf Sculpture: WIP

Horrid anatomy? Check.
Lumpiness? Check.
LAME subject matter? Check.
My first serious attempt at a sculpture ever? Check.

NONETHELESS.

With some inspiration from a few really good sculptors that I've seen around DA, I decided that it'd be really fun to try sculpting for myself. WOW it's hard. But then again I've never really tried it before, so of course it'll be difficult in the beginning. I want to get really good at it though, because I think it'd be awesome to be able to create really cool 3D stuff. And I refuse to be one of those artists that like, can do really well at ONE thing, but they completely avoid EVERYTHING else because they never try anything else so they're not good at it and they're afraid to do something they're not good at. That bugs me.

ANYWAY. Gonna paint this fellow tomorrow. I'm hoping that a nice paint job will make him look about 294893 times better, because he seriously needs it. xD

Oh, and I know this is like. Super boring. A standing wolf. Joyous, isn't it? I just wanted to start out by making something that I'm relatively familiar with and that I wouldn't be too far in over my head with it. Hopefully future sculptures I do will be more interesting and creative once I get more used to it. :]
